A few belated pictures from Valentine's Day! We had a pretty low-key evening at the apartment. I actually had forgotten that it was Valentine's Day when I woke up, and serendipitously put on a red sweater! Pres, on the other hand, made a very conscious decision to wear his bright red pants (not my favorite pair...but, I will admit, appropriate a couple times a year around Christmas and I Heart You Day). At any rate, both of us were gone all day, but decided to cook dinner together that night.
Pres and I had each gotten each other cards (he had also gotten me one from Callie!), and because I don't think either of us had the energy to be in any way original, Pres got me flowers, and I got him chocolate (but, in my defense, very yummy looking Godiva chocolate).
Then, Pres (being the obliging boyfriend/fiancé that he is) let me curl up on the couch while he opened a bottle of Merlot, put out Brie and crackers, AND cooked broccoli and spaghetti with a delicious sausage sauce for dinner! I honestly did not do a thing. It was awesome. You can see our wine & cheese spread in the picture above.
