One Year Later

This past weekend marked our one year anniversary with Ness, meaning that it's been one year since my Mom brought up a yellow furball that simultaneously captured our hearts and made us want to gouge our eyes out with a spoon (you're welcome). When Ness first arrived, with all her peeing on the rug, chewing everything we have owned ever in the entire world, whining during the night, and jumping up on walks, I often found myself thinking, "What special layer of hell did the demon come from that somehow convinced me it was a good idea to get a puppy during my first year of graduate school?"

Now that that year has passed, and I've emerged on the other side, however, I often find myself thinking, "Thank God I had The Puppy during my first year of graduate school." In the midst of what was an exceptionally difficult year for me, Ness made me laugh like nothing else could (not even How I Met Your Mother), and for that alone, she has been completely worth it. Even when she makes me LE CRAZY, I can't imagine our lives without her, and in honor of that fact/in celebration of our one year anniversary with The Puppy, I offer you my Very First Vimeo (music by The Weepies):

  3. I cannot believe you made a glorified power point slide of your dog. I love you for so, so many reasons...this is definitely one of them.
