So this was the picture we sent out with all of our Christmas cards this year (which should be arriving tomorrow or Wednesday, in-real-life friends...so check your mailboxes!). We took 27 pictures. And I'm pretty sure that I might have seen just the wispiest wisps of smoke come out of Preston's ears when I told him that I was going to use the first one we took. Because getting these photos was, SHOCKINGLY ENOUGH, kind of a pain in the ass. Mainly due to the puppy, who would rather do approximately 826,810,364,385 things other than sit still and look at the camera.
After we took the above photo (the first), I looked at it on the camera and promptly declared, "That sweater makes me look fat. I have to change." So I changed, we took a few pictures, I looked at them, and then realized that everything I wore was going to make me look fat (in my eyes) because that's just what I felt like seeing and thinking.
In the end, this one actually WAS the best picture of all four of us, so I got over my loser feeings re: the chunky sweater and, today, sent out fifty-five cards with this picture stuck inside. We did have some most excellent blooper shots. More on Flickr forthcoming.
