Loving

1. The fact that, even though I got two hours of sleep last night, I still had enough energy to walk the dogs, shower, get dressed like a Real Live Person (i.e. not my usual m.o. of jeans, clogs, and a potentially still dirty shirt that I probably picked up from the mystery pile of clothes on the floor), sub for Preston's AP Vergil class, do all the cleaning that neither of us have had time to do for the past week, and separate the laundry. I kind of feel like a rockstar. Minus, you know, being badass in ANY POSSIBLE WAY/having a drug problem.

2. That the Vergil class went really well and made me SO SO SO excited for TA-ing next year. Mainly because I get to write on a chalkboard! What could be better? NOT MUCH, I say.

3. That March is OVER which means that I'm that much closer to being done with my first year of grad school. Also, it means that flip-flop season is almost here. These two are equally as important.

4. Google's annual April Fools Joke. My favorite is the last one.

5. That I received a good comment on my Satire paper and finished my Greek paper just slightly over the deadline (it was due at the end of March, and because I am Mary Frances, I decided that that meant 11:59 PM on March 31...I actually turned it in about 4:30 this morning--the latest I've ever turned in a paper...loving that less so).

6. That I am currently in my pajamas, and am about to go make a café au lait before I paint my toenails and watch last night's How I Met Your Mother (I don't have classes today, and after the hellaciousness of the last week, I am taking FULL ADVANTAGE of that).

7. Partially: reading about the G20 summit on my lazy morning off, but ENTIRELY: watching what Michelle Obama is wearing every step of the way.

8. That Liz gives me shout outs over the Magical Land of Internet.

9. That there are daffodils and cherry trees beginning to burst with color along our street, and that at the tip tops of the tree outside our study window, I can see buds fighting to break open with growth. I love spring.

  1. You are a rock star! Thanks for subbing for me, especially the day after your paper was due. Glad you had fun!
