I Feel Like It's Fine

So the last three weeks have been horrendously busy and about as much fun as puberty. I have been not only an absentee blogger, but also an absentee wife, friend, runner, daughter, and dog owner. I breathe and sleep graduate school. This means that my mind, filled to bursting with papers, translations, readings, exams, and presentations, no longer has room for basic life skills like "eating healthy" or "showering" or "being a functional human being." No no. I am far too exhaustified and stressed to be a functional human being these days.

Case in Point: I wanted to put on jeans before I go to finish (and by finish I mean start) my Greek paper that's due at midnight, but I was wearing sweatpants with tennis shoes. And instead of untying my tennis shoes, I just pulled my pants off without taking my shoes off, turning the pants completely inside out and jumping around on one foot in the process. I threw the inside-out sweatpants onto the pile of clothes by my dresser that has reached epic proportions before I grabbed my jeans (out of that same pile of clothes...they could be clean, they could be dirty. NO ONE KNOWS!) and, one leg at a time, pulled them OVER my still knotted tennis shoes. Because the whole thought of having to untie and retie was JUST TOO MUCH. I feel like it's fine.

  1. Good luck MF! Retying laces is totally overrated.
