Earlier this week my mother-in-law sent up a couple of pictures of Preston as an infant. Much cooing (on my part) ensued. Because little Preston?! Oh my gosh. Seeing these pictures of little baby Preston immediately made me want to compare my own baby pictures (because, as we all know, the world revolves around me. Ahem.). So behold, internet. Little baby us.
Brand-new Preston. I love how at ease he seems - some things never change. I also love how I can totally see the adult version of Preston in this squishy little baby. Hilarious.
Brand-new me (technically, according to the faded writing on the back of this picture, this is "Mary Frances at 12 hours old"). I love how, even at 12 hours old, my clothes ALREADY do not fit, and I already look deeply concerned about everything that's going on around me. Preston is calm, Mary Frances is worried. Welcome to our marriage.
A slightly less brand-new Preston. His baseball conditioning evidently started at a young age.
And a slightly less brand-new Mary Frances.
Seeing these pictures of course makes me wonder what our (one-day) babies will look like and, even more so, what they will be like. A little human that is part-Preston and part-me?! That is CRAZY.
And yet, I can't wait for it to happen.
*because alliteration is always necessary.

I normally feel like all babies look the same for the first days/weeks/month(s) but holy mackeral Preston totally came out as Presto! And I'm tempted to suggest swinging in snuggly sweaters next time you're overwhelmed in the library because ohmygosh you look totally content & adorable.
ReplyDeletePS I sent a "yay Phillies" text earlier but now realize it was to your old number. So YAY PHILLIES!
OH MY GOSH so cute!! I love oooing and ahhhhing over baby pictures! Its funny to see how much of a person's personality is there from the beginning :)
ReplyDeleteDitto to all Whitney said. Except I didn't send you any text messages.
ReplyDeletePRECIOUS! I might have to dig up ours now, too! Although, Massey's genes totally won in Lydia (at least thus far), so I don't even know why I'd bother:)
ReplyDeleteY'all also look EXACTLY like y'all (I hope that made sense). And totally precious...which I already said:)
You guys were stinkin' cute! And of course you still are ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's an incredible thing to see how much your personalities start at such a young age! And then even more crazy to see how much you carry through to your kids! You guys will make awesome children ;)
