1. Every morning when I'm finished with breakfast I feel a little sad because it's already over.
2. I have a lot of clothes. Most of them are cheap, but still - there are plenty of them. Yet this morning, I stood in front of my closet for a solid twenty minutes seriously thinking, "I have nothing to wear." Somehow, I found something suitable and did not go to my first faculty meeting birthday-suited up. This is a good thing.
3. You know that chocolate cake I made for Preston and William last week? Well last Friday night, when I was asking Preston what kind of cake he wanted for his birthday, he suggested that we just finish up the chocolate cake. And then I had to tell him that that wasn't an option because I had already finished it...
4. When I got home last night, I had the best intentions of finishing the book of the Odyssey that I was translating. Instead, I uploaded photos to facebook, ate an entire bag of popcorn for dinner (Preston was at a meeting which meant I could have WHATEVER I WANTED.), talked to my friend Kelly on the phone, read some in The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, played solitaire on my phone, and watched reruns of How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory with Preston. Oops.
5. Yesterday I finished all my snacks for the day (that are supposed to last me until 5 or 6, when I come home) at 12:30.
6. My pants felt a little tight this morning. I suppose that numbers 3 and 5 might have something to do with that.
7. I have flossed exactly once in the last week.
8. I have a surprise for you all!
(8.5. It does not involve my uterus. We can all breathe easy.)
9. I can't read stories about Lindsay Lohan anymore because they just make me sad.
10. I feel like a lot of these confessions are about my insatiable appetite. Oops.
11. Yesterday I wikipedia-ed the Iliad, because I've never read it...because I am a terrible Classicist. In my defense, it IS on my to-read list. It's just not necessarily at the tip-top of that list.
12. This morning I pressed the snooze button at least four times. Preston is really glad that he's legally bound to me for forever.

Oh don't worry, I routinely eat all of my snacks before noon and have to buy myself a "second lunch" at Trader Joe's and I haven't read the Iliad, the Odyssey or the Aeneid. I too am a terrible classicist!

I think that exact same thing every morning after breakfast. Since I am unemployed though, I am able to have breakfast #2 and sometimes breakfast #3. I don't care.
