Meet Virginia
After spending three glorious days in Virginia, I have spent today in what can only be described as acute withdrawal from the mountains, people who say "y'all," Bodo's Bagels, and - especially - two of my dearest friends. I'll put more photos on Flickr in the days to come, but for now, know that our days were filled with hikes, lake swims, freshly picked peaches, and lots of car rides through the Blue Ridge (complete with windows-rolled-down-singing-at-the top-of-our-lungs). It was awesome - a perfect tonic - and I wish I could do it all over again. Alas, since The Thesis, and lesson plans, and dogs, and husbands (well, just the one for me) call, I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves...and hope that tonight I'll dream dreams of Virginia.

ReplyDeleteIt's actually Humpback Rocks outside of Charlottesville. I don't know Mary's Rock, but if it looks anything like this, chances are that I'd love that view as well!
