Hate: That she will soon leave me to go be fancy and work on her dissertation at Oxford.
Love: That the Annual APA (American Philological Association) Meeting is in Philadelphia this year! And that it's this weekend!
Hate: That in order to attend the APA today, I have to shower, get dressed, and look like a real person on Saturday. Gross.
Love: That I had a really, really fun time with my nerdy Classics friends last night.
Hate: That it involved perhaps a little too much alcohol, which I am totally feeling this morning.
Love: That it snowed last night!!!
Hate: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the snow. It makes everything better, no questions asked.
Love: That I have next week off.
Hate: That I need to spend it studying for my Latin/French exams.
Love: That I'm going to visit my friends Mary and Scottie in Chicago in a couple of weeks!
Hate: That my ticket was so expensive I will now be eating Ramen for the next six(teen) months. ALSO $15 to check a bag???? No thank you. I will wear eighteen layers of clothing and look like a roly poly, thank you very much.
Love: My pink opaque tights from Old Navy.
Hate: That Ness chewed them into something that resembles a moth eaten DISH RAG.
Love: That the last few weeks have been jam-packed with friends coming to visit, trips to Virginia, and general holiday wonderfulness.
Hate: That I am totally, one thousand percent exhausted by it all, and would now very much like to take a long winter's nap. Alas, I don't see that happening until, oh, 2020.
