(This picture is supposed to communicate excitement and glee and all things wonderful! Imagine me jumping up and down, and immediately calling my Mom...because that's what I did. While I was at work. ANYWAYS.) This is a very very part-time job, but it is a job nonetheless and I am completely thrilled. I'm going to keep the details mum for now, but the basics are that I will be teaching one Latin class at a school in the area. Considering that I'll also be finishing/defending my thesis and taking two seminars, one class is PERFECT.
I'm so pumped to have this opportunity. It was first mentioned to me as a possibility in the spring, so to have it come to fruition now - to have actual, real confirmation that I am indeed going to be employed - is beyond awesome. I've been super nervous about whether or not I was going to get the job all summer, and HURRAH! Now I don't have to be! And now I'm headed off for a night in Alexandria, VA with the equally as thrilling, exciting, and all things wonderful Liz so that the two of us can say goodbye to July with a bang! Happy weekend!
Hooray!!! Congratulations, Mary!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome dress! Oh, and congratulations.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary, and LA! And Luke, thanks for the congrats AND the compliment on my dress. One hundred points for you.
ReplyDeleteYayayayayayaayayaya! That's AWESOME, MF! I'm totally not surprised, though. I'm sure if I'd had you instead of Mrs. Forester, I too would love Latin. Alas, that's totally not the case. Yay for a job! Yay!
