Too many thoughts, too little time. A list it is.
1. We met our new puppy on Sunday night! And she is so super cute I just want to put her in my pocket and carry her around with me EVERYWHERE. I introduced her to Callie, and Callie just kind of sniffed her and then snorted. Hopefully this meant "Awesome, MF and Preston! I'm SO excited to have a new little sister! And share my bed, and the apartment, and my Greenies, and my walks! I LOVE to share!" Somehow I think this probably meant, "Gross. A puppy. I have sooo many more important things to be doing, you plebeians. Like attacking my Greenies duh."
2. After packing the car TO THE GILLS (what the hell are we going to do when we have another dog...I guess I can't pack 12 pairs of shoes everywhere we go anymore...sigh) we arrived in Wintergreen last night. And it is just as wonderful as it ever is to be here. Cool and beautiful and relaxing and quiet and lovely. I never want to leave. Except, of course to come see Ab this weekend!!! That's right, people. We know each other FOR REAL. Be jealous.
3. This morning Preston slept till 1:30 (pm). While I did 6 loads of laundry. I think I deserve a back rub. Or the first beer when we get home (we're currently stealing internet at the Mountain Inn).
4. I have two friends coming up tomorrow, and I am soooooo not into the isolated thunderstorms that weather.com is telling me are coming.
5. I got TWO awards today! From two of my very favorite people (in blogging land), Ab and Quirky! Thank you, ladies!!!
6. Last night/this afternoon Preston and I watched Disc 1 of Season 1 of How I Met Your Mother and I almost peed in my pants I was laughing so hard. A lovely image, I know. But for serious--if you haven't seen it, you should. It's fantastic, and very funny.
7. Preston tells me it's time to step away from the computer, since we left Callie back at the house. At least one of us has the will power to leave the internet. Although y'all know that I would do anything for the pup. Cheers till later this week!
Mary, can you believe it's been SIX years exactly since we "chaperoned" the Groton cross country team excursion to Wintergreen?? Haha, enjoy your time there, I can understand how much you love it :)
