Preston's birthday is coming up on Thursday, and he received an early present the other day in the mail. His parents generously completed the remaining crystal goblets from our wedding registry (JUST what Preston wanted!), and as soon as Preston read over the accompanying card (which had obviously been typed online when the order was made), he turned to me and said, "Do you think Dad wrote this?" The card read, in its entirety, and without any punctuation,
"Happy Birthday Preston"
"Mom and Dad"
Succinct, to the point, and SUCH a boy card. I love it (though my Mother would shake her finger at me from four states away if I so much as considered writing a birthday card like that).
HA!
ReplyDeleteMaybe he just had to add a male touch to a not-so-manly gift.
I know we've gotten cards from my father-in-law saying things like, "You forgot this in my car. Dad"
Gotta love 'em!
