Weepy Afternoon

Don't want to go into details, but I just talked to my Mom on the phone for half an hour, and she's dealing with a SUPREMELY unpleasant man in Richmond whom I think is getting ready to sue her (for something so ridiculous and petty and stupid and unjustified I can't even believe it). And I don't really know anything about lawsuits, the law, money, etc. But I do know something about unpleasant people, and it just breaks my heart (and opens my tear ducts) to know that some Big Shot down in Richmond is trying to crush my poor little mother. So now I'm alternately sitting in my favorite chair and typing, and lying on the floor to sob into the soft spot behind Callie's ears. And I wish I could find some wittier, more insightful way to end this post, but this is all I can muster at the moment: mean people suck.
