1. IT IS NOT ONE THOUSAND DEGREES IN OUR APARTMENT!!! This is reason enough to celebrate for days. It feels entirely tolerable to walk around the apartment wearing actual clothes (on Monday morning when I was cleaning I wore a nightgown for about four hours because that is all the fabric I could stand to touch my body). So this is divine.
2. The Top Chef finale is on tonight! And I am crossing my fingers and toes that Stephanie wins, though I think I would be ok with it if Richard won as well. If Lisa wins, however, I will lose all faith in humanity, and, perhaps more importantly, reality cooking competitions.
3. I WILL FINISH MY THANK YOU NOTES TODAY. The actual finishing them is not part of the great part of today, but the actually being finished is indeed great.
4. The Wii arrives today (according to USPS tracking)!! It was supposed to arrive last week, but seeing that Preston had eighty comments to write over the weekend, and that our apartment temporarily became a sauna, it's probably good that it didn't arrive till today.
5. It's my friend Mary's birthday today!! Happy day, beautiful girl!
that's so exciting (about the Wii)! I got Thomas one for graduation, and I initially wasn't exactly excited about having one since I've never been into video games, etc... but now Wii bowling IS my life! It's so much fun! It even lets you do "granny rolls" when you bowl! :) Sorry if I've been blog-stalking you, it's been a slow day at work!
