Confession

I may or may not have ordered an " I Blame Spencer" t-shirt online tonight. Which I'm pretty sure takes away some of my credibility as a human being. And probably ALL of my credibility of a graduate student. But seriously. I DO blame Spencer for all the Hills brouhaha (in addition, you know, to the fact that it's ALL A LIE...but lalalala I prefer to suspend my disbelief and pretend that the Hills is at least sixty percent authentic). And then when I read this description of the T-shirt....well...the Fug girls sucked me in with all their witty descriptions and clever design. And now I'm $19.75 poorer. BUT, in my defense, I know I can afford it. THAT IS RIGHT. For the last month, after I realized that my Target addiction problem had reached disgusting proportions, I have been on a self-imposed budget. As in a real, live, adult, no fun (but highly necessary) budget. As in I pay for groceries, gas, and health care with my debit card, but everything else has to come from the cash I withdraw at the beginning of the week. It's how I pay for my coffee, my recreational trips to the liquor store (that sounds a LOT more alcoholic than I mean it to), my new running clothes, my haircuts, copies at school, and completely worthless crap that I probably don't need I just really want (see: I Blame Spencer t-shirt). And what do you know, it has made me a LOT more conscious about where I'm spending my money and how I'm spending my money. At any rate, I had over $20 leftover from last week, and while I should probably have put the $20 towards, ideally, charity or, more likely, the Coach purse I'm coveting or Christmas presents or you know MY LIFE SAVINGS...I put it towards the "I Blame Spencer Shirt." And I'm kind of ridiculously excited. I just have absolutely no idea where I'll wear it. Except for EVERYWHERE.*

*Just kidding. Seriously. I'll probably end up wearing it either a) to bed or b) to do Pilates. But still. Seriously excited. Slash incredibly embarrassed.
