Little Pieces of Wonderfulness

I made these caramels over the weekend as part of a successful attempt to avoid my homework. And man are they tasty (I would know, having eaten approximately thirteen tons of caramel for dinner). I mean, I assumed they would be, as anything made with heavy cream, butter, and sugar is destined to be orgasmic. I used this recipe from eat make read, and it was pretty easy, bearing in mind the warning that it took lots of patience and many, many minutes of standing over the stove watching sugar, water, and corn syrup gradually congeal into a sticky mess that I chose to leave for Preston to wash (which he did! what a love! In my defense, that morning, I had washed about thirteen of his chocolate milk/OJ/beer/water glasses that were scattered around the apartment). These caramels are really quite easy--I made several mistakes along the way, and they turned out fine. Once again, heavy cream, butter, sugar...you can't really go wrong.
