Preston and I are supposed to drive to Virginia tonight. It is currently 9:00 pm. Virginia is at least five hours away. And we are both just now eating dinner (in our defense, we have already packed and cleaned the apartment).
Last night I stayed up till three and woke up at six to finish my homework, only to leave it at home for my class this afternoon.
After driving to Virginia tonight, we are driving (with my Mom and brothers) to and from South Carolina for Thanksgiving lunch all in one day. Then we drive back to Bryn Mawr early on Saturday morning. That is (minimum) twenty-two hours of driving in the course of four days.
It is damp, drizzly, and oh so very November outside.
In the next hour, Preston and I have to figure out how to collapse Ness' very large crate into the back of our very small trunk.
I have to email my paper topic for my OTHER Latin paper by Friday. As in the day after Thanksgiving.
I feel guilty for whining.
However, in spite of my bitching and moaning, there must still be a fairy who loves me, because--and get ready for this--today, my I Blame Spencer t-shirt came. And I am REALLY excited about it (but felt too ugly to have my face in a picture; so, gentle reader, please enjoy this picture of my torso and the oh so fabulous (if somewhat wrinkled) I Blame Spencer t-shirt). Small joys indeed.
Oh, Mary--if anyone deserves to whine, you do!!! Can you type in the car? (I guess it's a little farfetched)... Good luck hon--I'll be thinking of you!
