In Which I Procrastinate.

We took Ness to the vet yesterday, and the experience couldn't have been more different than when we took Callie to the vet for the first (and only) time last year. Ness was ready to spread her message of peace and love and LET'S ALL CUDDLE to everyone in that office, including the nurse who weighed her, the doctor who gave her shots, and basically anything else that moved. This experience stands in stark contrast to our visit with Callie last fall, when she FREAKED OUT, didn't want to be touched, wriggled out of her leash and collar, and hid under our chairs. She acted so scared you would have thought we had just told her that she was going to a) "the farm" or b) a land where it was all thunderstorms all the time. Because both are equally as bad. That's when the vet gave us her sedative pills (he describes them as Xanax for dogs) and begged us please, next time we brought her, to give her at least four.

But Ness was a rockstar. Here are some pictures. And yes, I am that annoying girl who takes her camera with her everywhere I go and whips it out in unexpected places like the vet's office. If we hang out in real life you should already know this.

Peeking out from the safety of Preston's legs.

I would be sooooo much cuter if I didn't think Mary Frances' arm/face/entire wardrobe was a chew toy.

Starting to look skeptical about visiting the vet.

  1. She really is SO adorable. When Clementine went to the vet, she was just fine until she got her shots; then she screamed. I kid you not: screamed. It was terrifying...and yet, she seemed perfectly okay afterward...so maybe she's just a wuss.
