Weekend Update, Part I

Because all I've done lately is bitch about grad school and how Ness eats Callie's vomit and her own ears and my sanity, I realized that I've left the impression that that's all I do. NOT TRUE! And I have photos to prove it! Last weekend (Oct. 4), I went into the city with my friends Sarah and Penelope where Bruce Springsteen was playing at an Obama Rally FOR FREE. As in I saw THE BOSS for no money. At all. Pretty spectacular. It also meant that all of Philadelphia was there with us, but still. The energy and the music and the loveliness of the day made for a fantastic fall afternoon.

I promise if it had been the real Obama, I would not have been touching his butt, as I appear to be doing here.

BRUCE! If only I had worn my nineteen inch heels, I would have had a PERFECT view.

We can do it.

After the rally ended, we headed back to Ardmore where we went to Ruby's to dinner and had delicious artery clogging food (burgers and garlic fries...yum) and milkshakes! I'm sipping the pumpkin milkshake which, if I had a disposable income and the metabolism of a hummingbird/Preston, I would totally eat every day.

They are SO excited I am still taking pictures. Please note all of the deliciously delicious food waiting to be eaten.

  1. A pumpkin milkshake!?!!?
I think I've died and gone to heaven...
I saw Dreyer's Limited Edition Pumpkin Ice Cream at the market on Sunday, thought it might be overkill to eat plain in a bowl... but now I've been inspired!
