He Knows Me Too Well

So after Preston read my last post (see below), he looked over at me and said, "Do you really agree with all of those?" Already suspecting which number he was doubting, I asked innocently, "Which one are you skeptical about?" And he said, "Number Eight. Do you really believe that if nothing matches it doesn't matter? That it's just another reason for candlelight? Because I do. I'm just wondering if YOU do."

Defensively and defiantly I said "YES." PAUSE.

And then I caved and admitted to him that ok NO I don't believe that not matching doesn't matter, but I would really LOVE to believe that...and to be non-OCD...and to believe that candlelight makes everything ok... So then I promised I would admit the truth to the blog. So here I am. I lied. I don't believe it doesn't matter if nothing matches. In fact, it drives me crazy if nothing matches. NOT in anyone else's home--just in mine.

So to satisfy Preston, here goes: hello, my name is Mary Frances, and I'm crazy. I'm big into matching. And color-coordinating. And all that jazz. And I like it.
