Relief!

Talked to the hospital this morning and it turns out that the bill was a lie. Apparently "date due" meant "random date we're just going to put on the bill for no apparent reason." Additionally, "your insurance has gone through and this is your remaining balance" meant "your insurance has not gone through but we're going to tell you that it has and that this is your remaining balance anyway."

Silly me. How could I not have read through the lines like that?

Sarcasm aside, it was a HUGE relief to get all that straightened out (for the time being...we'll wait until I get my ACTUAL bill in a few weeks). I immediately called my Mom to deliver the blessed news, and she said, "Well honey, welcome to Life. This is the first of many times you will receive a confusing hospital bill." So that was very comforting.

In other completely unrelated news, I'm off to go search for a bathing suit, since the ones I have are ALL from high school. So since it's not 2002, and elastic doesn't reallllllly last for 6 years, I think it might be time for a new one. In fact, I'm pretty positive it might be time for a new one. I tried Target the other day, but apparently the second week in July is too late in the summer to be shopping for bathing suits, and I was left with the dregs. There were about -8 matching pairs, and even those were mostly XL tops (which I'm not) paired with XS bottoms (which I'm also not). SIGH.

I'm trying Old Navy this afternoon...and I have a sneaky feeling I won't find a bathing suit, but that I WILL find a sundress or a purse or a shirt (none of which I need) that is just soooo marked down that I am practically forced to buy it. Just a sneaky feeling.
