Firstly, and most importantly, it means that sitting in our apartment doesn't feel like taking a nap in a kiln. Hooray! Instead, we are neither blinded by sunlight (we don't have window treatments, both because our windows are huge with a fantastic view onto trees (and a parking lot, but we try to ignore that), and have you ever tried finding window treatments for 48 inch windows? That aren't fugly or worth more than a week's groceries?) nor are we suffocated by stifling stale air. Secondly, it means that maybe with this rain, the remnants of our Just Married car decorations will finally be washed away. Just for future reference, if any of you would like something to stay on your car FOREVER UNTIL THE END OF TIME you should just go buy paint pens and write things on your car. Because they say not permanent on the label, but they are LYING. I loved how our car was decorated after the wedding, I really did...I just don't love how it's still decorated, nearly two months later. Thirdly, I got to wear my rain boots when I walked Callie this morning! And that makes any day better.

This Might Be A First
It is raining today in Bryn Mawr (and all up and down the East Coast, right?) and can I just say PLEASE LET IT NEVER STOP. Just kidding. If this gray, drizzly weather were to continue for more than 48 hours you know I'd be up in arms over the AWFUL TERRIBLENESS of it all. But for right now, I am loving the rain, for several reasons.
