The Land Before Time

Yesterday we had a HUGE thunderstorm that knocked out our power and our cable. Luckily, because we live at a school, the school's generator kicked in, and for the rest of the afternoon, we were just on a lower level of power, but still no internet. That night, we headed to Phoenixville for dinner with a friend, so we were out of our apartment for a good five hours, and pulled up to our building with our fingers crossed. However, we got back into a very dim, warm apartment, and knew that we were still in trouble. We went to bed hoping that the power and internet fairies would come overnight and fix everything.

Alas, the fairies did not come, so I write this in a very un air-conditioned, mostly powerless apartment. And since our internet is still out, I'm stealing someone else's wireless. And, having been supremely spoiled by our new A/C units and our wireless internet, I am not a fan of living in the Land Before Time. So I'm hoping the fairies come soon.
