This morning I pressed the snooze button for a good hour. That's six times (and I have to physically get out of bed in order to turn it off; otherwise, I've been known to bring my alarm clock into bed with me and muffle its beeping by sleeping directly on top of it....comfy, right?). Because even in my exhausted stupor when my alarm went off at five I thought, "Sleep is more important than Greek." This is probably a bad attitude to assume during my first month of graduate school. OOPS.

Marvelous Invention
The snooze button--where would we be without it? I once had a roommate in college who, after a few mornings of me slapping the snooze button twice (my normal routine) before getting up, asked me if I could actually get out of bed when my alarm went off. Clearly that was not an option, so after that I just started sleeping at Preston's apartment. Where the pressing of the snooze button was an everyday occurrence.

HAHA! My alarm clock is on the dresser clear across the bedroom for that precise reason! And yet, I still managed to climb out of bed and shuffle over to hit snooze 3 times before getting up for my run this morning!
ReplyDeleteMy alarm clock doesn't HAVE a snooze button, which is a great tragedy. Consequently, I have gotten very good at staggering out of bed and resetting my phone alarm for 5 minutes later, over and over again, mostly without waking up.
