Something New and Different

Preston has a blog! You should read it! Though, to be fair, it's very very different from my blog. Mainly because he's all rational, and stuff. Also, he discusses serious things like politics and baseball. I write mini biographies of myself and talk about how much I love Trader Joe's Very Mini Vanilla Meringues. This sort of sums up our marriage. Just kidding. Sort of.

I find it slightly embarrassing (but secretly kind of love) that both of us have Latin titles for our blogs, though his is from an actual Latin poem (Vergil's Eclogues) and mine is from an English poem that just happened to have a Latin title (Ezra Pound's Erat Hora...read about why that's my blog title here). Preston's is titled Lentus in Umbra which translates (roughly) as "relaxed in the shade." In his very first post (from sometime last year), Preston writes that this kind of sums up the way he lives his life, and after being in a relationship with him for almost six years, I can confirm that that is entirely true (he is the calmest, most even tempered person I know; the perfect antidote to all my crazy). If my blog title reflected the way I live my life, it would be the polar opposite of Preston's. I'm thinking it would have to translate as something like "Anxiety-ridden in the blazing sun." Yep. That would definitely be it.
